What is the cold bridge phenomenon?

The area of the corner of the outer wall of the house, the intersection of the inner and outer walls, and the overlapping angle of the building roof and the outer wall. When the indoor temperature is higher than the outdoor temperature, the phenomenon of the water mist adsorbed on the wall is called the "cold bridge" phenomenon, which mostly occurs in winter.
The north is an area where "cold bridge"s are common. Because the weather in the north is relatively cold in winter, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is large. At the connection between the inside and outside of the house, the local thermal conductivity becomes larger and the heat transfer ability is enhanced, resulting in a sharp drop in local temperature. When the hot air in the house is cold, water mist forms on the wall, and the house will be damp and moldy.
The "cold bridge" phenomenon of the reinforced concrete structure houses mostly occurs at the columns and beams; the brick concrete structure houses mostly occur at the ring beams, and then seepage, wall peeling, mold and other phenomena.
To avoid the appearance of the "cold bridge" phenomenon, house insulation is the most important. Whether the construction materials are stolen or the quality of the insulation materials directly affects the insulation effect of the house. Because many projects do not do wall insulation because of cost reduction, the wall thickness is not enough. According to the standard wall body, bricks with a certain thickness should be added for wall insulation. Because the brick is made of fired soil, it has good thermal insulation performance, is a good external wall insulation material, and is also the simplest insulation method in construction engineering. If thermal insulation joints are made at the joints of the roots of the load-bearing walls, lateral cracks at the roots of the walls can be prevented.
Secondly, the quality of insulation materials is also an important factor to prevent the "cold bridge" phenomenon.
Therefore, in order to prevent the occurrence of the cold bridge phenomenon, measures should be taken to put "warm clothes" on the walls.
Putting "warm clothes" on the wall actually adds insulation materials to the periphery of the building. At the same time, while maintaining the thermal insulation effect of the wall, the external doors and windows of the peripheral structure are also a link that cannot be ignored, and the "cold bridge" phenomenon is easy to appear here.
Most cold air enters the room from the junction of the window and the wall, forming moisture and mildew between the wall and the insulation material, and even destroying the decoration layer, which will bury hidden dangers to the quality of the house in the future. Therefore, the junction between the wall and the window requires particularly careful design and construction.
Since "cold bridge"s are mostly found in the corners of the exterior wall of the house, the corners of the interior and exterior walls, and the overlapping corners of the building roof and the exterior wall, if these areas can be blocked by the insulation material to block the cold air outside, the cold bridge can basically be eliminated. phenomenon.
The easiest way to solve the "cold bridge" phenomenon is to add benzene boards to increase the insulation of the house. At the same time, a layer of thermal insulation mortar can be added on the outside of the house wall to replace the thermal insulation function of the brick.
